Karuizawa Community Guidelines & Etiquette

To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone and to respect our local community, please observe the following:

  • Quiet Hours: Between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, please refrain from loud conversations or noise (including the use of external speakers) in the garden and parking areas. This is regulated by the “Karuizawa Town Ordinance on the Maintenance of Good Public Morals.”
  • Environmental Protection: Please do not litter. Help us keep Karuizawa beautiful by disposing of trash and cigarette butts properly.
  • Fire Safety: Bringing hazardous materials that are flammable or explosive into the Villa is strictly prohibited.
  • Mobile Batteries: Please handle portable power banks and mobile batteries with extreme care to prevent fire hazards.

  • 1. Hotel Information

    • Check-in: 3:00 PM / Check-out: 10:00 AM
    • Parking: Free parking is available on-site.

    Please note: We provide the parking space only and cannot be held responsible for accidents, theft, or damage occurring within the parking area. Any issues should be resolved between the parties involved or reported to the police.

  • 2. Safety & Security

    • The Villa is equipped with security doors. Please tap your key card on the sensor to enter your room.
    • For security reasons, the automatic lobby doors will be locked from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. If you need to leave the building during these hours, please inform a staff member.

  • 3. Lobby & Bar Lounge

    • Morning Service: Free hot coffee and bread are served in the lobby from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
    • Bar Lounge: Between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, you can enjoy unlimited sparkling wine for 2,500 JPY (excl. tax) per person.
    • A selection of exquisite appetizers is also available, starting from 2,500 JPY (excl. tax).

  • 4. Amenities & Room Wear

    • As part of our commitment to reducing plastic waste, we do not provide disposable amenities in the guest rooms.
    • Exclusive Villa room wear is available for a fee if you did not bring your own. Please contact our staff if interested.

  • 5. Wi-Fi Access

    • Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and the lobby.

  • 6. Smoking Policy

    • Smoking is permitted only in the designated smoking room located in the lobby. All other areas of the Villa are strictly non-smoking.
    • A cleaning fee of 30,000 JPY will be charged for each instance of smoking outside the designated area.

  • 7. For Guests Staying Multiple Nights

    • In line with our SDG environmental protection policy, full room cleaning is provided once every three days.
    • On days when full cleaning is not scheduled, if you would like light cleaning (towel exchange, trash removal, and basic bed making), please hang the “Please Clean My Room” sign on your door handle by 10:00 AM.

  • 8. Rental Items

    • The following items are available at the lobby (subject to availability):
    • Thermometer, Baby crib/cot, Hot air brush.

  • 9. Barbecue grill

    • Should you wish to use the terrace barbecue grill with your own ingredients, a fee of 2,500 JPY (excl. tax) per person will apply.
      In accordance with local regulations in Karuizawa, we kindly ask that all use conclude by 9:00 PM.

  • 10. Drinking Water

    • The tap water in your room is safe to drink.
    • A water dispenser is also available in the lobby for your convenience.

  • 11. Pet Policy

    • To maintain our hygiene standards, pets are not allowed inside the Villa or for overnight stays.

  • 12. Additional Terms

    • Guests will be held liable for the full cost of repair or replacement for any damage, staining, or theft of Villa facilities, equipment, or property.
